Amidst the 2020 Pandemic riots , elections, and political protests, I engaged with a group of artists to make 20 feet tall papier-mâché puppets to bring to anti-trump rallies. My personal contribution to the project was the inception and creation of the puppet resembling Trump. After its debut at the Trump Rally in Tulsa, OK, this puppet made its way to Philadelphia PA, OKC, Washington DC, Manhattan & Brooklyn, New York, Zanesville and Columbus Ohio, St. Louis MO, and followed various protests and town halls around the country.
It has been featured on documentaries and programs such as Vice’s coverage of the Tulsa Trump Rally, MSNBC, ‘Outside the Bubble’ & ‘American Selfie’ on HBO, & various news outlets during its journeys. It now resigns in an undisclosed location complete with its horns, t-rex hand, pig nose, butthole mouth, and upside-down bible.
